Sea Glass Luminaria
Beaches are usually breezy, so it's hard to keep candles lit. If your event is going to be held al fresco, and you want the soft glow of candles on your tables, you'll need luminaria to light up your night. Sea glass luminaria are decoratively sculpted, translucent glass bowls that come in ocean blue, sea-foam white and tropic-seas green-just made for a bash on the beach. Scatter "crushed ice" glass chips in matching colors around the luminaria. Put tea candles or votive candles inside the luminaria, and your table tops will shine.

Seashell-Shaped Floating Candles
An indoor event by the sea is the ideal spot for candlelight. And how easy is this? Fill a shallow, decorative glass or ceramic bowl with water and float several seashell-shaped floating candles. You can also find floating orchid candles, too. For an unusual touch, color the water with food coloring. Sprinkle small seashells around the bowl. Done

Conch Shell with Flowers
Conch shells are those really large seashells that people hold up to their ears to hear the sound of the sea. You can purchase them online or in a souvenir shop by the ocean. Set the shell in the center of the table with the wide opening facing up. Fill it with your favorite flowers and greens. Once again, you can scatter "crushed ice" smooth-glass chips in colors matching the shell or your flowers.

Mini Lanterns with Tea Lights
There are several ways to use classic, metal mini-lanterns in your centerpiece designs. Find large, decorative plates that match your décor and spread a layer of dry, white sand on the top. Place two or three mini-lanterns with tea lights in the sand, and scatter seashells or tropical flowers in the sand around the lanterns.

Pillar Candles in Sand
You'll need to be indoors for pillar candles, but what a dramatic look they create! Stand several pillar candles of various heights and shapes (round and square) on a decorative plate or shallow bowl filled with sand or "crushed ice" glass chips. Circle the plate or bowl with tropical flowers or seashells.
You'll be surprised how simple it is to create beach centerpieces your guests will admire, and they'll never know you had fun making them! Just put your beachcombing skills to work for the sand, the seashells and the inspiration!
