Choose to fly fishing rods to meet your needs
As any experienced fly fisherman can attest, the rod that you choose have a significant impact not only on whether or not you catch the fish you want, but how easy or difficult will capture. There is little doubt that the fly is an art and it takes time and experience to master, but for new people to the sport, the ability to choose the rod right is an important starting point. Fly fishing rods are all different from each other, and the right one for you depends on many things.
The size and length are important factors when selecting fly fishing rods and reels. For example, fishing rods for salmon and trout fishing rods have very different requirements. In terms of size, the number of rod fly fishing will increase as the size of the stem. A 3, for example, is ideal for trout fishing, while 9 would be better for salmon. The length is also important, with 9 'is the option the most popular. Shorter rods are usually recommended for fishing in small areas or in places where bushes and plants line the edges external water.
When seeking the perfect trout or salmon fly rod, it is important to also consider the action stem. Action determines the amount of the rod bends during casting. fast rods, for example, that bend at the tip and are ideal for fishing long distances or in high winds. Slow rods offer a full turn and are ideal for fishing in small creeks. Medium folding offers the most diverse and generally the best choice for beginning anglers. Snowbee rods are well known in the industry for durability, quality and craftsmanship.
Although fly fishing has long been considered an elite sport, it is increasingly popular with young and old youth. Fly Fishing communities are becoming surprisingly diverse, and Internet communities contribute to the interest margin in the sport. These communities are ideal for new people and fly fishing can be excellent resources for those seeking their first fly fishing rods or just the courses they need to improve their skills. Finding the right fishing rods is an important Fly fishing, and do not be difficult.

Anglers Book Supply Co 0Mir000500 Art Of Spey Casting $63.38 Learn the basic and advanced Spey Casting techniques for both Single and TwoHanded Rods. Watch and learn as 17 of the world s best casters share their styles and skills through multicamera coverage of easytofollow demonstrations on rivers in actual fishing situations. Chapters include: 13 detailed demonstratons of spey casting techiques; and 6 Bonus Chapters that include an interview with Mel Krieger; a fun look behindthescenes; a casting competition; and interviews with manufacturers/sponsors involved in the production. DVD 3 hours 30 min. One very important point to remember is that spey casting is a style of casting utilized by both single and doublehanded rod casters. There are a growing number of people today who fish in rivers throughout the east west (Montana Pennsylvania North Carolina Maine Oregon Florida Colorado California etc.) who no longer use the standard roll cast. Instead they use spey techniques that allow for powerful casts when there is no room for a normal backcast. In fact many people today are not using a normal backcast ever (even if they have room) because spey techniques have proven so effective. There s lots here for the beginner and those who already love either or both of these casting elements and want to learn advanced techniques and styles. What sets this DVD apart from all other Spey videos out there is the truly professional composition editing and cameraworkand the fact that it was done out of a love for the sport with several demonstrators dontating their time. Sequences shot at the beautiful Golden Gate Angling and Casting Club in San Francisco and on rivers around the world.NARRATOR: Lani Waller. INTRODUCTION: Simon GawesworthWHAT EXPERTS ARE SAYING: This DVD shows the most comprehensive gathering of expert single and twohanded rod casters/instructors I ve ever seen in my life. Two-Handed Fly Casting: Spey Casting Techniques $24.43 lly, the elements of two-handed fly casting are demystified Two-handed rods have moved from relative obscurity to the forefront of modern fly-fishing. Their advantages over single-handed rods are undeniable, especially on large rivers, and places where back casting is difficult or impossible. Casting these powerful rods takes considerably less effort than traditional single-handed casting once the basics are mastered. The use of both hands allows the caster to use leverage to drive the cast, taking stress off the arms and shoulders. This makes Spey-casting ideal for anyone who has experienced a loss of strength, or for those who may have experienced fatigue casting heavy single-handed rods. In this practical, straght-forward manual, America's leading instructor reveals the secrets of 16 different Spey casts. East cast is presented in clear step-by-step progression, accompanied by superb photography and illustrations. |
