In order to have a high percentage of success trout fishing, you should be smart in selecting the fishing flies you will use. There are actually plenty of options to choose from and this can give you a headache most especially if you are still a beginner. Don't forget that using the same cast is not as effective when used again when fishing in the same location. Trout can adapt and you can't fool them the second time around. This makes fishing for trout more challenging. So it is important to get to know the fish and where it lives. By means of studying what kind of insect it eats would also be a great help. In this way, you can limit your scope of options to what type of lure you should use and you will have more chance of inviting the trout to bite.
If you observe splashing in the water, this means that the fish are above the water and dry flies are best to use. But if not, the trout are in the bottom and a wet fly is recommended. There are actually 3 basic groups of flies: nymphs, dry flies and wet flies. Each of the flies can be used depending on your fishing condition. They also differ in patterns, colors and sizes. You can also use a combination of them if you want to have more effective results.
The favorite flies which are used by anglers includes dry flies, wet flies, nymphs, streamer fly, terrestrial, royal coachman, imitative flies and attractor flies.
The dry flies are commonly found in top of the water which appears the same as insects. It is also important to keep the fly dried. You should also add gink oil in order to keep it afloat but there are some that will float because of the water tension. Wet flies are also being used in trout fishing. They can sink under the water. This is necessary especially if trout are below water level. You can also use nymphs. They can stimulate the trout because they look like new born that just came out from their cocoon. These kinds of trout fishing flies should be tied with a weight to keep it under. On the other hand, streamer flies are larger when compared to other trout fishing flies and they are ideal bait for predatory fish. Another trout fishing fly is the terrestrial fly which are very flexible and can be used wet or dry. It is characterized as a large land insect which by chance falls in the water.
The royal coachman is also used in trout fishing. It has a tail of golden pheasant tippets and the style is a peacock herl. The body is red silk floss, brown saddle hackles and white duck quill feathers. Imitative flies can also be your bait and they can be wet or dry flies. It tries to imitate the natural movement of the real fly. On the other hand, attractor flies are made in order to attract trout because of their movement, color or shape.
Though there are plenty of trout fishing flies in the market, experience in trout fishing is more important. Meaning as you gain experience, you will discover what is the best method to be used, the most effective baits, and the right gear. In addition to that, choosing the best trout fishing fly is a matter of trial and error......so good luck!

Pheasant Pigeon $76.47 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Pheasant Pigeon (Otidiphaps nobilis) is a large terrestrial pigeon found in the primary rainforests of New Guinea and nearby islands. It ranges primarily over hilly and lower mountain areas, but can also be found in lowlands. The pheasant pigeon is an unusual pigeon of uncertain affinities within the Columbidae, and is monotypic within the genus Otidiphaps (Gould, 1870), and the subfamily Otidiphabinae. Its scientific name makes reference to its similarities to the bustard family (Otidae). Its common name reflects its adaptation to living on the forest floor in the fashion of a South East Asian pheasant, which it resembles in external morphology, particularly in its laterally compressed tail and the rounded wings. No galliform birds occur in New Guinea, and the pheasant pigeon has filled the ecological niche of a partridge or small pheasant (while the larger Goura crowned pigeons have a lifestyle similar to larger pheasants, grouse or turkeys). It is a highly secretive species, feeding on seeds and fallen fruits. It nests on the ground below trees and bushes, laying one egg that it incubates for around 4 weeks.
