Persons born on a Tuesday are sometimes assumed to be mangliks or said to have a mars-dominated nature, which is untrue. Also, there is no such term as a 'double manglik dosha', as used by a few astrologers. Having mars in one of the above mentioned planets and also in its own sign in exaltation does not make one a 'double manglik'. In fact, the latter phenomenon only reduces the effect of a manglik dosha. Another very common misconception is that if a manglik person marries, the spouse of the manglik person is bound to die or suppose to suffer from serious health ailments unless he/she is a manglik too. This happens in the rarest of cases, where Mars is severely afflicted or just, probably because the overall horoscope is weak.

Manglik Dosha is given utmost importance during marriage. People are very apprehensive about marrying a manglik person, even if the effect has been canceled out.
